That figure is from a total 1314 KIA during Counter Terror operations or Enemy attacks across the entirety of Egypt.

719 Armed Forces personnel 595 Interior Ministry. 1095 Conscripts/NCOs and 255 Officers.

This study excludes any KIA as a result of criminal activity.

First is a lack of tactical understanding amongst troops as a result of a basic training program that has continually failed to produce skilled infantrymen.

This includes poor understanding of patrolling in IED enviroments and how to man positions in sniper heavy areas.

Similar problems with patrolling. Riflemen do not patrol in each others footsteps and have poor actions on IED.
