Egyptian writer Ahdaf Soueif has written an opinion piece about the transfir deal of two Red Sea islands Tiran and Sanafir to Saudi Arabia. Many in Egypt, myself included, share Soueif’s overall views. Her post was widely shared on social media. There are, however, some critical comments about it.
